The composition of harpagophyte includes iridoids, the most important of which is harpagoside. Harpagophyte has anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic and analgesic properties. It has been shown to reduce inflammation and pain, and to improve motility in arthritis, osteoarthritis, rheumatism and sciatica. It is very useful in all types of musculoskeletal ailments and rheumatic-arthritic processes. Its use allows the replacement or reduction of the dose of corticosteroids, phenylbutazones and other anti-rheumatic drugs. It can be used continuously for 3 to 6 weeks.
